Re: Custom Made ATV Bush Trailer
You sure you didn't forget something Dale? That makes Mr. Haney's truck off'n Green Acres look positively barren. Those trailers all look terrible. You guys should be ashamed.

Re: Custom Made ATV Bush Trailer
Aha! You guys that haven't moved on over to Firefox are the ones getting the 'snow'. Using the above links to post photo's works perfectly with Firefox....so it seems Internet Explorer is the problem! I have both, but 99.9% of the time use Firefox, so it's working perfectly on my computer. Perhaps if there is a way Greg, it could be fixed up to work with both browsers? Dale

Re: Custom Made ATV Bush Trailer
Reidler posted the reason for this occurence a while back. You're using the Photbucket tag instead of the img tag. The Photobucket tag is for Photobucket videos only, not for images.
Your link should look like this:
[center][img]http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj166/Powerstroke2010/Quads%20Dot%20Ca/IMG_0002.jpg[/img][/center]
and not

Re: Custom Made ATV Bush Trailer
At first glance I thought for sure liquor was involved in the design phase, but after really looking at it and reading your whole post it really started to make some sense. Even a little "Ben Hur" action. Then I saw it loaded and thought, holly crap, "Sanford and Son's". Nice job! & you sure know how to pack a mean trailer.

Re: Custom Made ATV Bush Trailer
Powerstroke, that is a damn good trailer as well! That type of lower trailer design would definately have a higher weight capability than mine. With that much stuff piled that high I'm sure I'd roll mine somewhere! How does all that stuff stay on the trailer without falling off? Those must be some magic straps. I also like how if you had to tow another ATV out you could.

I also like how if you had to tow another ATV out you could. Interestingly, my brother bought himself one of the new "all aluminum" units, and it IS a nice trailer...so he keeps bugging me as to when I will get one like his, but I keep telling him I'll just continue using my current one. The main issue with this trailer is, it's heavy...as opposed to his all aluminum one, but as mentioned, never in all the years I've owned it, has it ever tipped over, even loaded heavy. His has tipped on a couple of occasions already, so he's now added wheel shims, to get the wheels out a couple of inches on either side to hopefully rectify that problem. Interestingly, with regard to handling "weight"...one year we had a huge full sized moose winched onto my trailer, and it was so heavy we couldn't lift the tongue after the moose was on....so we used a 6" pole (old fallen tree actually) under the tongue, to lift it up, where I then backed my old Honda up to it, to get it onto the trailer ball. Worked like a charm, and handled the weight with no issues in all these years. For those that have seen the photo of all that gear on the trailer, picture that...and then a "pink" bathtub upside down over the gear! One year "the guys" had me bring up a full sized bath tub...as I was coming up a few days after them...but they neglected to tell me about it's "color". Thankfully, there weren't many others that I ran in to on the way in that year, as it was an 8 hour ride in...to get to base camp. Also, on that trip in, with all that gear (and the bathtub) I only got stuck once in a ditch that had to be crossed (actually the quad made it through, but the trailer (because of the weight) got hung up, so a short distance winch pull was needed, and away I went. I was on my own on that trip in, so I'm glad I didn't come across any other issues. The guys where impressed when they saw that tub making it in, as it was set up between some trees, sitting about 10" off the ground, where once topped with water, a fire was built under it (like a big soup pot) to heat the water! Worked well, but the bottom was a little hot on the rear end...so a small piece of plywood was eventually found to sit on while "bathing". Should have some more photo's soon, as the trailer will be in use again here real soon, piled to the gills with gear! As for keeping all the gear on the trailer, ratchet straps and bungies! Must be a reason they call me the "Bungie Guy"at camp....as I have many, and they've worked well over the years and they continue to! Wanna add more to my trailer...go for it, as long as we have another bungie or two!
