NEW ALLOWABLE ANNUAL CUT SET FOR REVELSTOKE-AREA TFL
VICTORIA – Effective immediately the allowable annual cut for Tree Farm Licence 56, held by the Revelstoke Community Forest Corporation, will decrease from 100,000 cubic metres to 90,000 cubic metres.

HAIDA & BC TIMBER SALES PARTNER TO MANAGE FORESTS
QUEEN CHARLOTTE – The Haida Nation’s Taan Forest Ltd. and BC Timber Sales have agreed to jointly plan and manage over 270,000 hectares of working forests on Haida Gwaii, Forests and Range Minister Pat Bell and Bob Brash, President of Taan Forest Ltd announced today.

OPEN FIRES PERMITTED ACROSS THE NORTHWEST FIRE CENTRE
SMITHERS – As of 12 noon Wednesday, Sept. 1, all open fires are now permitted across the Northwest Fire Centre due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

OPEN BURNING PERMITTED WITHIN PRINCE GEORGE FIRE CENTRE
PRINCE GEORGE – Effective immediately, open burning is permitted across the Prince George Fire Centre’s jurisdiction due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES PERMITTED THROUGHOUT THE COASTAL FIRE CENTRE
PARKSVILLE – Effective at 12 noon on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, campfires will be permitted throughout the Coastal Fire Centre due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES, OPEN BURNING PERMITTED IN CARIBOO FIRE CENTRE
WILLIAMS LAKE – Effective immediately, open burning, including the lighting and use of campfires and restricted equipment such as tiki torches, fireworks, and burn barrels, will be permitted across the Cariboo Fire Centre’s jurisdiction due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES PERMITTED ACROSS THE KAMLOOPS FIRE CENTRE
KAMLOOPS – Effective immediately, campfires will be permitted across the Kamloops Fire Centre's jurisdiction due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES PERMITTED IN PARTS OF COASTAL FIRE CENTRE
PARKSVILLE – Effective at noon on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, campfires will be permitted within parts of the Coastal Fire Centre due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES PERMITTED ACROSS THE NORTHWEST FIRE CENTRE
SMITHERS – Effective immediately, campfires will be permitted across the Northwest Fire Centre’s jurisdiction due to a decreased risk of wildfires.

CAMPFIRES PERMITTED ACROSS PRINCE GEORGE FIRE CENTRE
PRINCE GEORGE – Effective immediately, campfires will be permitted within the Prince George Fire Centre’s jurisdiction due to a decreased risk of wildfires.
